What do you think is the importance of home inspection? Do you have any idea?
Have you already found your “Dream House”? Have you already made the decision to purchase it? When purchasing a house, we know that you are excited, but before you make that final decision…have you completed a home inspection with a certified home inspector? If not, you better do so right away!
Maybe you’re wondering what a Home Inspection is? The definition of a home inspection from Wikipedia states: “A home inspection is a limited, non-invasive examination of the condition of a home, often in connection with the sale of that home. Home inspections are usually conducted by a home inspector who has the training and certifications to perform such inspections. The inspector prepares and delivers to the client a written report of findings. The client then uses the knowledge gained to make informed decisions about their pending real estate purchase. The home inspector describes the condition of the home at the time of inspection but does not guarantee future condition, efficiency, or life expectancy of systems or component.”
Here are some of the reasons why it is important for your house to be inspected before moving in:
Knowing the Condition
One of the most important things you want to know about your house is its condition. With a thorough Home Inspection you will find out if your house is a sound investment meaning it has been built well and maintained well! Or will it become a money pit causing you more headaches in the near future..
Buying a house is one of the most important purchases that you will ever make, it will be an investment and knowing its condition is the essential part.
Knowing the History
Every house has its history, I’m not discussing about the things you see in horror films (though you might as well consider it :))
I am meaning the inner secrets of the house, is there mold, termites and other unwanted boarders that are in the house? Is there a cracked foundation? Has there ever been a flood? A good home inspector can usually tell you things that have been done to the house, whether it be a fixed crack in the foundation or if there has been an addition put on at some point. The more you know about the property the better!
Remember your house is usually the biggest investment someone makes in their life, so understanding how good of a house you are buying is crucial.
Knowing the Technical stuff
When buying a house it may contain wirings for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, sound systems, house alarm and other stuff likewise. Learning about the technical conditions of your house will help you understand if there are things that need to be fixed before moving in.
All in all the Inspection of your Dream House is very Important, There are a lot of Inspectors out there waiting to be Hired, they are the ones with the Keen eyes in inspecting the basement, the structure, plumbing, electrical, foundation, roof, chimneys exterior, walls, and all the things that you may need to know before purchasing your soon to be called “Home”.
