Home/Tips/Home Chores: Effective Scheduling

house-beautifulHow do you manage your home? Are you a working mom, stay at home mom, a professional or career woman? Are you struggling with your schedule? Worry no more! In this article, you will be guided on how to properly manage your time.

Let’s start with your daily schedule

One of the most effective ways to manage your time with your home chores is to have a daily chore schedule. This way, you can easily manage your time because you know what to prioritize. In scheduling household chores, you can also identify which chores can be delegated to your older children and the younger ones. You are not just helping yourself but at the same time, you are helping your children to grow knowing their responsibilities. You are teaching them how to be accountable. Creating a steady routine helps you get the house clean and your schedule better!

Below is a perfect example of a daily schedule that lets you have one day off as a reward for all your hard work.

  • Monday: Dishes and kitchen
  • Tuesday: Bathrooms
  • Wednesday: Surface clean and organizing
  • Thursday: Trash and start laundry
  • Friday: Dusting and vacuuming
  • Saturday: Finish laundry, fold and put away
  • Sunday: Take the day off and enjoy a Family Day

Weekend scheduling works too!

If a daily weekday routine is not fit on your schedule, you can try the weekend scheduling. Weekend scheduling is often preferred by working parents or people who do lots of travelling. There are many ways to arrange a weekly schedule, but it’s usually best to take one to two days to really focus on your chores and spend a little more time in areas of the house, instead of separate rooms.

Other ways of scheduling

It is for sure that no one wants to live in a home that is not organized or is a total mess. Another way to make the house clean despite of your schedule is to designate a family member on a specific day to be in charge for the household chores. This way, chores will be divided and not everyone will be out of the loop. It is just a matter of time management and being responsible.

Remember, nothing is too difficult and nothing is too hard for a family that stays together and help each other.
